The Knopf family is back in the automotive cores/used parts recycling/cores supply business under the brand name Buffalo Core Supply, formerly known as M&M Knopf and later as Knopf Automotive. We partner with hundreds of auto wreckers, shredders, core suppliers, peddlers, parts pullers (at U-Pull-It yards) and dealerships around the country and the globe. Our name may be new, but our vision is the same as it’s been since 1945: to be the very best full-line Global Core Supplier. Our mission is to utilize the knowledge, experience and contacts we have accrued over the last 70 years and bring our family business into the 21st century. To that end we have developed a proprietary web-based app to help our suppliers know which parts we are seeking and to view our competitive pricing.
The automotive recycling industry helps sustain our planet and its limited resources. By salvaging used auto parts and extending their half-lives rather than sending them to landfills and/or smelters, we’re able to save millions of barrels of oil and millions of tons of natural resources (i.e. iron, aluminum, copper). Keeping parts in the remanufacturing cycle lowers pollution levels and minimizes our carbon footprint.
